This week: Drew Mildon on the devastated site of the infamous Canadian Tar Sands projects. There, what were waste ponds have grown to lakes, soon to become inland seas of toxic destruction; and, rapacious greed and horrific environmental practices combine with apocalyptic effectiveness to destroy landscapes and the living things within them south of 60 too. For the last few years, Canadian freelance journalist Jennifer Moore has watched the mining industry chew up South America. She's in Honduras now, watching the generals; Victoria Street Newz publisher, and CFUV broadcaster, Janine Bandcroft, currently riding through America, not always easily, at the bottom of the hour for the view from there.
