Malalai Joya is the first woman elected to the Afghani parliament, and the first woman to be booted out of that suspect body. She's survived several attempts on her life, and continues to condemn the farce of democracy in her homeland. She is currently touring Canada with the co-author of her auto-biography, Derrick O'Keefe. Malalai Joya appeared in Victoria, B.C. November 15th, 2009. The second portion of her engangment follows.
