The People’s Assembly is Victoria BC’s contribution to the now global people’s movements attempting to address the usurpation of the economy by the narrow segment of society often known as “the elite,” or as is put in the growing U.S. movement, the “1%.”

Following last weekend’s rally and march in solidarity, 48 tenters are now living within the city’s Centennial Square, in the shadow of City Hall.

I spoke to Mike, who happened to be at the Media tent when I arrived.
