This week, Lierre Keith is a long-time sustainability activist, feminist, editor, and author whose book titles include: ‘Conditions of War,’ ‘Skyler Gabriel,’ and her latest book, ‘The Vegetarian Myth: Food, Justice, and Sustainability.’ Keith writes: “I want a full accounting, an accounting that goes way beyond what’s dead on your plate. I’m asking about everything that died in the process, everything that was killed to get that food onto your plate.”
And; in Great Britain, hearings are being conducted into just how that country became entangled in the Iraq war. Astonishing testimony was released last week regarding secret meetings held between George W. Bush and Tony Blair that suggest the two men plotted the invasion well before any of the supposed “justifications” for such an action were merited. Dave Lindorff is an award-winning investigative reporter and author active in journalism for more than three decades. Dave Lindorff and Britain’s tardy commission on that country’s involvement in the invasion and occupation of Iraq.
